TORCH Live Privacy Notice

TORCH Live is operated by Torch Leadership Academy, Inc., 148 Heather Road, Haddon Township, NJ 08017.

Data We Collect

TORCH Live stores account profile data (name, email address, role, and program year), phone numbers used solely for program-wide SMS alerts, and operational content (schedule, announcements, and resource entries). We also retain technical logs required for security and operations.

How We Use Data

Data is used to deliver program schedules, send authenticated sign-in links, broadcast program announcements and urgent alerts via SMS, and operate the program safely and effectively.

What Is Not Shared

Email addresses and phone numbers are never displayed in the program directory or shared with other participants. Social handles entered by users are visible to authorized TORCH staff and administrators only.

No Private Messaging

TORCH Live does not include private or direct messaging between participants. All in-app communications are group-wide broadcasts sent by authorized staff or administrators only.

Audience and Eligibility

Access is limited to authorized TORCH participants and volunteers. Accounts are provisioned directly by TORCH administrators from a known roster. TORCH Live is intended for users age 14 and older and is not directed at children under 13.

Who Can Access Data

Access is restricted to authorized TORCH staff and administrators who require it for program operations, safety, and technical support. Administrative actions on accounts are logged for accountability.

Data From Schools

Torch Leadership Academy is not acting on behalf of a school district, and TORCH Live is not used to store education records received from schools.

Retention

Account access is reviewed each year. Student leader and staff accounts are deactivated after the program cycle ends, and personal data is deleted or anonymized within 60 days of program close. Records are retained beyond that period only where required for safety, legal compliance, or year-over-year operations.

Your Choices

Participants may request correction or deletion of account information through TORCH staff. Sign-in uses magic links sent to your registered email address.

Communications

TORCH Live sends operational and transactional communications only to enrolled or authorized users. It is not used for marketing.
